Desligue o televisor

Certa vez, o Senhor Jesus dormia tranquilamente em um barco, junto com os discípulos que estavam desesperados, em meio a uma grande tempestade que os ameaçava. O Senhor não estava indiferente a situação, porque dormia. Pelo contrário, ele relaxava justamente porque tinha  controle sobre ela. Tanto é que, sendo questionado pelos discípulos, ele ordenou ao vento e ao mar que se aquietassem, e assim aconteceu.

Trazendo esse episódio bíblico como ilustração para o momento que o mundo vive, analisamos o que temos passado. Todo o tempo, olhamos aflitos o noticiário da televisão, para nos inteirar do que está acontecendo no mundo. Sim, não somos alienados, estamos "ligados", dormir é para os fracos. Mas, a realidade é que, quanto mais vemos televisão, mas nos apavoramos. Então, qual é a vantagem dos ligados em relação aos fracos?

Na grande maioria dos casos o noticiário mais atrapalha do que ajuda, sem dizer que muitos o fazem de propósito para implantar o pânico na população, por questões políticas. Por que então não desligamos a televisão na maior parte do tempo, selecionando só programas que mais ajude do que desmotive?

A nossa situação não é muito diferente do que a dos discípulos de Jesus no barco. Estamos todos no mesmo "barco" também, por assim dizer. O televisor é um aparelho bidimensional enquanto que os ventos e ondas que afligiam os seguidores de Cristo eram uma realidade tridimensional que os cercava por todos os lados.

Digo, porém, que sob a perspectiva espiritual acontece o mesmo com muitas pessoas hoje em dia. Elas estão rodeadas pela angústia de se sentirem confinadas em suas próprias casas. Há, más os discípulos estavam com Jesus, que os socorreu. Quero dizer que esse mesmo Jesus, que acalmou a tempestade, disse depois de ressuscitado que estaria conosco até o final dos tempos.

O Senhor Jesus não está tão longe que não possa ser achado, mas próximo, ao seu lado, bastando que você creia nele, ore e conheça a sua Palavra que está na Bíblia. Tenho certeza que, assim, você vai conseguir dormir tranquilo como um bebê, da mesma forma que o Mestre fazia, em meio às tempestades que enfrentou entre nós.

Once, the Lord Jesus slept peacefully in a boat, while his disciples were awake, desperate, in the same boat, in the midst of a great storm that was breaking, in the middle of the sea where they were. The Lord was not in his sleep fleeing the situation. On the contrary, he relaxed just because he was in control of her. So much so that, being questioned by the disciples, he ordered the wind and the sea to be quiet, and so it happened.

Bringing this biblical episode as an illustration to the moment that the world lives, we analyze what we have been through. All the while, we watch the television news in distress, to find out what is happening in the world. Yes, we are not alienated, we are "connected", sleeping is for the weak. But, the reality is that the more we watch television, the more we panic. So, what is the advantage of the connected in relation to the weak?

In the vast majority of cases, the news is more disturbing than helping, not to say that many do it on purpose to implant panic in the population, for political reasons. Why then do we not turn off the television most of the time, selecting only programs that help more than demotivate?

Our situation is not much different than that of Jesus' disciples on the boat. We are all in the same "boat" too, so to speak. The television is a two-dimensional device whereas the winds and waves that afflicted the followers of Christ were a three-dimensional reality that surrounded them on all sides.

I say, however, that from a spiritual perspective it is the same with many people today. They are surrounded by the anguish of feeling confined in their own homes. Yep, but the disciples were with Jesus, who helped them. I mean that this same Jesus, who calmed the storm, said after being resurrected that he would be with us until the end of time.

The Lord Jesus is not so far away that he cannot be found, but close by his side, if you just believe in him, pray and know his Word that is in the Bible. I am sure that, in this way, you will be able to sleep peacefully like a baby, just as the Master did, in the midst of the storms he faced between us.


טקסט עברי: כבה את הטלוויזיה. (1 באפריל, 2020)


פעם אחת ישן האדון ישוע בשלום בסירה, יחד עם התלמידים הנואשים, בעיצומה של סערה גדולה שאיימה עליהם. האדון לא היה אדיש למצב כיוון שהוא ישן. להפך, הוא נרגע רק בגלל שהייתה לו שליטה עליה. עד כדי כך שנשאל על ידי התלמידים, הוא הורה לרוח והים להיות שקטים, וכך זה קרה. אנו מביאים את הפרק המקראי הזה להמחשה לרגע בו העולם חי, אנו מנתחים את מה שעברנו. כל הזמן אנו צופים בחדשות הטלוויזיה במצוקה, כדי לגלות מה קורה בעולם. כן, אנחנו לא מנוכרים, אנחנו "מחוברים", שינה זה לחלשים. אבל, המציאות היא שככל שאנו צופים בטלוויזיה, אנו נבהלים יותר. אז מה היתרון של המחוברים ביחס לחלשים? ברוב המוחלט של המקרים, החדשות מטרידות יותר מאשר לעזור, שלא לומר שרבים עושים זאת בכוונה כדי להשתיל פאניקה באוכלוסייה, מסיבות פוליטיות. מדוע אם כן איננו מכבים את הטלוויזיה רוב הזמן, ובוחרים רק בתוכניות שעוזרות יותר מהפחתת? מצבנו אינו שונה בהרבה ממצב תלמידיו של ישו על הסירה. כולנו באותה "סירה" מדי, כביכול. הטלוויזיה היא מכשיר דו מימדי ואילו הרוחות והגלים שפקדו את חסידיו של ישו היו מציאות תלת מימדית שהקיפה אותם מכל עבר. עם זאת, אני אומר שמבחינה רוחנית זה אותו דבר אצל אנשים רבים כיום. הם מוקפים בייסורי הרגשה המרותקים בבתיהם שלהם. כן, אבל התלמידים היו עם ישוע, שעזר להם. זאת אומרת, אותו ישו, שהרגיע את הסערה, אמר לאחר שקם לתחייה שהוא יהיה איתנו עד תום הזמן. האדון ישוע לא כל כך רחוק שהוא לא נמצא, אלא קרוב לצידו, אם אתה רק מאמין בו, התפלל ודע את דברו שנמצא בתנ"ך. אני בטוח שבדרך זו תוכל לישון בשקט כמו תינוק, בדיוק כמו שעשה האדון, בעיצומם של הסערות שעמדו בפנינו.
