Espiral idiota do silêncio, como diria Olavo

Há um mês, precisamente no sábado 07 de outubro, o grupo terrorista Hamas surpreendeu o mundo ao cometer o maior massacre de judeus da História, desde a II Grande Guerra. No ataque genocida, executaram a sangue frio 1.400 civis, além de promoverem o sequestro de aproximadamente 240 reféns, entre as vítimas muitos idosos, mulheres, crianças e até bebês. 

Em uma atrocidade sem precedentes, os terroristas mataram a esmo centenas de jovens que participavam de um festival de música, além de estuprar e/ou matar garotas, conforme decidiam. Assassinaram pais na frente de filhos e filhos à vista dos pais, dentre outros horrores. A carnificina generalizada aconteceu em vários Kibutzim (ou comunidades) localizados ao sul de Israel, próximos à fronteira com a Faixa de Gaza, território palestino.

O Hamas, que governa com mão de ferro a Faixa de Gaza desde 2007, quando venceu uma guerra civil contra a Fatah - outro grupo terrorista, a quem sucedeu - costuma usar cidadãos palestinos como escudos, para se defenderem da resposta israelense aos seus costumeiros ataques.

Uma vez que a justa reação das forças de defesa israelenses acontece, provocada pelas atrocidades cometidas pelo Hamas, grande parte da Imprensa Internacional procura estimular uma verdadeira espiral do silêncio, apresentando o povo palestino como vítima preferencial do povo judeu, e os terroristas do Hamas como legítimos heróis. Assim, muitos formadores de opinião propõem o imediato cessar fogo por parte de Israel, com a alegação de que o confronto é assimétrico; ou seja, o poderio bélico dos israelenses é proporcionalmente superior ao dos agressores. O objetivo é manter calado um grande contingente de pessoas que naturalmente se posicionariam em favor de Israel, mas não o fazem por medo de represália.

O posicionamento equivocado da grande mídia dos Estados Unidos e do Brasil, por exemplo, é baseado nas narrativas ideológicas da extrema esquerda, com seu maldisfarçado antissemitismo, ao se alinhar com o Hamas, cujo propósito existencial é varrer Israel do mapa e exterminar o povo judeu da face da Terra, da mesma forma que Adolf Hitler ambicionou um dia. Isso mostra claramente que socialistas e comunistas em nada diferem do ditador austríaco naturalizado alemão, especialmente quando se trata de apoiar genocídas. Mas  esses são os mesmos que costumam taxar os representantes da Direita de fascistas.

Cito a seguir, para finalizar, trecho de abertura do artigo Maquiadores do crime, de Olavo de Carvalho, publicado originalmente em 2010 - portanto, há 13 anos! - o qual tem tudo a ver com o comportamento atual da mídia:

Idiotic spiral of silence, as Olavo would say.

A month ago, precisely on Saturday, October 7th, the terrorist group Hamas surprised the world by committing the largest massacre of Jews since World War II. In the genocidal attack, they executed 1,400 innocent civilians in cold blood, in addition to kidnapping approximately 240 hostages. Among the victims were many elderly people, women, children and even babies.

In an unprecedented atrocity, terrorists randomly killed hundreds of young people attending a music festival, raping girls. They murdered parents in front of their children and children in full view of their parents, among other horrors committed. The widespread carnage took place in several Kibbutzim (or communities) located in the south of Israel, close to the border with the Gaza Strip, Palestinian territory.

Hamas, which has ruled the Gaza Strip with an iron fist since 2007, when it won a civil war against Fatah - another former terrorist group - usually uses Palestinian citizens as shields to defend itself from Israeli offensives, which are provoked by its own attacks.

Since the just reaction of the Israeli defense forces is provoked by the atrocities committed by Hamas, a large part of the International Press seeks to stimulate a true spiral of silence in relation to such atrocities, presenting the Palestinian people as the preferential victim of the Jewish people, and the Hamas as legitimate heroes of the "Palestinian cause”. Thus, many opinion makers propose an immediate ceasefire by Israel, with the allegation that the confrontation is asymmetric; that is, the Israelis' military power is proportionally superior to that of the aggressors The objective is to keep silent a large contingent of people who would naturally stand in favor of Israel, but do not do so for fear of reprisal.

The mistaken positioning of the mainstream media in the United States and Brazil, for example, is based on the ideological narratives of the extreme left, with their poorly disguised anti-Semitism, by aligning themselves with Hamas, whose existential purpose is to exclude Israel from the map and exterminate the Jewish people. from the face of the Earth, in the same way that Adolf Hitler once aspired to. This clearly shows that socialists and communists are in no way different from the naturalized German Austrian dictator, especially when it comes to supporting genocides. But traditionally these are the same people who tend to label representatives of the Right as what they really are: fascists, Nazis and genocidaires.

In conclusion, I quote in the following paragraph the first paragraph of the article Maquiadores do crime, by Olavo de Carvalho, originally published in Diário do Comércio, on September 20, 2010 - therefore, 13 years ago! - which is also compiled in the book The least you need to know to not be an idiot, by the same author. The text comes in handy with everything that is happening around media coverage today.
