O título escolhido para este artigo faz um trocadilho entre o nome de um dos maiores violonistas brasileiros - Baden Powell - e do presidente americano. Powell era radicado nos Estados Unidos, e morreu em 2000. A ideia remete à constatação óbvia de quanto a perspectiva de um assunto pode mudar no discurso da Esquerda, e especialmente na Imprensa militante, quando um de seus representantes está no poder. 

Bem, o problema não é a música que se deve ou não dedilhar ao violão, para o deleite de uma elite arrogante e pretensioso, que pensa ter a solução para todos os problemas do mundo, não.  A questão é o músico, de que lado do espectro político ele está. Portanto, é isso que importa para a Esquerda, e não necessariamente a verdade. Exemplos não vão faltar, além desse em especial, que exponho no próximo parágrafo. 

As últimas notícias dão conta de que o presidente dos Estados Unidos, Joe Biden - compromissado até o pescoço com narrativas e agendas demagógicas da Esquerda - decidiu pela liberação da agricultura em terras antes destinadas à conservação ambiental. Até o momento, contudo, nenhum garoto ou garota-propaganda do ambientalismo deu um pio sequer quanto a isso. Por que será?

Mais uma vez podemos perceber - se é que já não estamos carecas de saber - que a questão não é o que fazem mas quem faz. A jovem sueca, Greta Thunberg, o ator americano Leonardo DiCaprio, ou o presidente da França, Emmanuel Macron, que o diga; ou melhor, que o finja, pois nunca nos enganaram. 

Na verdade, nós brasileiros temos a convicção de que não é com o VERDE da Amazônia que essas pessoas estão realmente preocupadas. Nem a grande maioria de nossos indígenas hoje é mais ingênua - como alguns podem pensam - a ponto de acreditar nisso. Há, não!

Em palestra realizada na Frente Parlamentar da Agropecuária, no mês passado, a Diretora-Geral da Organização Mundial do Comércio(OMC),  Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, afirmou "que o mundo não sobrevive sem a agricultura brasileira". O que, por outro lado, mostra a grande competitividade internacional do nosso Agro, o que incomoda muita gente. Especialmente aos profetas do ambientalismo, então, 'incomoda, incomoda, incomoda muito mais!'

The title chosen for this article makes a pun between the name of one of the greatest Brazilian guitarists - Baden Powell - and the American president. Powell was based in the United States, and died in 2000. The idea refers to the obvious realization of how much the perspective of an issue can change in the discourse of the Left, and especially in the militant press, when one of its representatives is in power. 

Well, the problem isn't which music you should or shouldn't strum on the guitar, for the delight of an arrogant and pretentious elite, who think they have the solution to all the world's problems, no. The question is the musician, which side of the political spectrum he is on. So that's what matters to the Left, and not necessarily the truth. Examples will not be lacking, in addition to this one in particular, which I expose in the next paragraph.

The latest news reports that the President of the United States, Joe Biden – committed up to his neck with the Left's demagogic narratives and agendas – has decided to allow agriculture on land previously destined for environmental conservation. So far, however, no poster boy or girl for environmentalism has made a single peep about it. I wonder why?

Once again we can see - if we're not already bald to know - that the question is not what they do, but who does it. The young Swedish woman, Greta Thunberg, the American actor Leonardo DiCaprio, or the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, you name it; or rather, pretend it, for they have never deceived us.

In fact, we Brazilians are convinced that it is not the GREEN of the Amazon that these people are really worried about. Not even the vast majority of our indigenous people today are more naive - as some may think - than to believe this. Oh no!

In a lecture held at the Agricultural Parliamentary Front last month, the Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, stated "that the world cannot survive without Brazilian agriculture". Which, on the other hand, shows the great international competitiveness of our Agro, which bothers many people. Especially to the prophets of environmentalism, then, 'it bothers, bothers, bothers much more!'
