A capacidade presente de se fazer escolhas/The present ability to make choices

Sabe porque não podemos mudar escolhas ou decisões que fizemos na juventude? A vida não nos permite tal façanha, pois ela é real, corrente,  de fatos únicos, insubstituíveis e irremediáveis. Você já pensou, se fosse possível mudar os acontecimentos, que seria como a adulteração de um documento oficial? 

Se você, contudo, tem consciência de que a vida que tem levado, por si só já é uma fraude, justamente por causa de escolhas erradas do passado, isso é sinal do quanto há de verdadeiro em você agora, na essência. Isso é muito importante, porque é o ponto de partida de toda transformação que venha se processar em sua vida.

A despeito de você não poder reverter algumas decisões infelizes que tomou lá atrás, a capacidade de fazer novas escolhas é e sempre será real enquanto viver. Só precisa acertar dessa vez, fazer diferentemente, porque agora pode se tornar uma nova pessoa. 

Com base no atual contexto da sua vida, valorize tudo o que há de realmente bom; seja misericordioso com os outros, e não uma metralhadora acusatória, como se sentisse o dono da verdade -  por ter aprendido alguma coisa com as experiências vividas -porque, afinal de conta, você deve entender que até aqui Deus foi misericordioso com você.

A propósito, nada é mais importante para você, nesse atual estágio da vida, que entender o verdadeiro sentido do Natal, para iluminar o caminho, pois "o povo que andava nas trevas viu uma grande luz; sobre os que habitavam na terra da sombra da morte resplandeceu a luz...

Afinal, um menino nos nasceu, um filho nos foi concedido, e o governo está sobre os seus ombros. Ele será chamado Conselheiro-Maravilhoso, Deus Todo Poderoso, Pai-Eterno; Sar-Shalom, Príncipe-da-paz"(Isaías, 9:2 e 6).

"E isso, por causa das profundas misericórdias de nosso Deus, através das quais dos céus nos visitará o sol nascente, para iluminar aqueles que estão vivendo em meio às trevas, e guiar nossos pés no caminho da paz”(Lucas, 1:78 e 79).

Concluindo, eu dou testemunho de que Cristo é nosso grande Senhor e Salvador, com quem podemos contar sempre, neste mundo e eternamente. Desejo pois a todos os amigos um feliz e substancioso Natal, no nome de Jesus!

The present ability to make choices

Do you know why we can't change choices or decisions we made in our youth? Life does not allow us such a feat, because it is real, current, of unique, irreplaceable and irremediable facts. Have you ever thought, if it were possible to change events, it would be like tampering with an official document? 

If you, however, are aware that the life you've been leading is already a fraud, precisely because of wrong choices in the past, this is a sign of how true you are now, in essence. This is very important, because it is the starting point of every transformation that will take place in your life. 

Despite the fact that you cannot reverse some unfortunate decisions you made back then, the ability to make new choices is and always will be real as long as you live. You just need to get it right this time, do it differently, because now you can become a new person. 

Based on the current context of your life, value all that is really good; be merciful to others, and not an accusatory machine gun, as if you felt you owned the truth - for having learned something from the lived experiences - because, after all, you must understand that up until now God has been merciful to you. 

By the way, nothing is more important to you, at this current stage of life, than understanding the true meaning of Christmas, to light the way, for "the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; on those who dwelt in the land of shadow out of death shone the light... 

After all, a boy was born to us, a son was granted to us, and the government is on your shoulders. He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Eternal Father; Sar-Shalom, Prince-of-peace" (Isaiah, 9:2 and 6). 

"And this, because of the deep mercies of our God, through which the rising sun will visit us from heaven, to give light to those who are living in darkness, and to guide our feet into the way of peace" (Luke, 1:78 and 79). 

In conclusion, I bear witness that Christ is our great Lord and Savior, on whom we can always rely, in this world and eternally. So I wish all my friends a happy and hearty Christmas, in the name of Jesus!
